USA Skimo Appoints Sarah Cookler as Head of Sport

Sarah Cookler, founder and head coach of Silverfork Skimo, has recently been appointed as the USA Skimo Head of Sport. Fear not, Sarah will remain as the head coach and Executive Director of Silverfork Skimo Foundation. Sarah’s main goals in her new role are to help grow the sport of ski mountaineering from the club level up, with strong youth programs around the country, in addition to supporting our top athletes so that they can reach their potential on the international level and beyond. Sarah sees this new position as a great step forward for the sport, for USA Skimo, and for Silverfork Skimo.
